  1. I enjoyed the variety you’ve shown us, but that excerpt really “caught my moment.” What book is it from? I ask because my method for choosing books is to open them to a sampling of random passages. I only buy if, out of context, those random passages can engulf me in the moment.

    • Thank you so much! I’m really happy you’re asking about the excerpt I posted because it comes from one of my favourite books: “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. There’s also a second book by him (sort of like following the first one) called “The Angel’s Game” (Phoenix Fiction, ISBN: 978-0-7538-2025-4 & ISBN: 978-0-7538-2750-5 accordingly). The literature is exquisite and the plot exciting. I really hope you find them and read them and get the same pleasure I got, when I read these two. I just couldn’t put them down!!! πŸ™‚

      • I just had a free sample of “The Shadow of the Wind” sent to my Kindle. Did you have a preference for one book over the other? Is it important to read them in order?

      • No, not really. I read “The Angel’s Game” first and it didn’t make a difference. I think they’re exquisite! Tell me what you think when you read any of them! πŸ™‚
